Volunteer roles
Here's all the work we do. If you're ready to engage with our community, consider one of these roles!
Setup: Assist Event Organizers with setting up the space prior to event and at the start of each day (depending on shift).
Teardown: Assist Event Organizers with closing up the space each night and at the end of the event (depending on shift).
Vaccination Station: Prior to check-in, check that an attendee has an up-to-date vaccination (after July 18, 2024) OR has taken a rapid antigen test (or ideally 2–3) within the past 72 hours and received a negative result(s). Help attendees adhere to Go Play NW’s COVID-19 safety policies in a firm and friendly way.
Registration and Information: Maintain a welcoming presence at the Registration Desk (Desk role) and throughout the venue (Roamer) by helping attendees check into the event; distributing event resources (e.g., masks, tape, lights, etc.) where applicable; answering common questions or providing basic event information; and helping attendees access games (e.g., signing up for and finding scheduled games, using the games library, hopping into the Donut, etc.).
Donut MC: Collaborate with Donut Assistant to orchestrate and execute the Donut by organizing participants, explaining the process of the Donut, gathering pitches, and directing players and facilitators.
Donut Assistant: Assists the Donut MC with running the Donut by assessing the number of Donut participants and distributing (and collecting) boarding passes.
