It's Time for Go Play NW Seattle Summer 2025!
Here we go—it’s time for the Seattle Summer in-person event, starting this Friday! We have some important reminders for you.
Where to go and how to get there
The Go Play NW 2025 Seattle Summer in-person event happens at the Centilia Cultural Center, right next to the Beacon Hill light rail station in Seattle. Find a map, directions, information about the neighborhood (including food), and more on our Venue page.
• Note that I-5 northbound in Seattle, from the I-90 interchange (south end) to the NE 45th Street exit (north end), will be closed to traffic through the weekend.
• Also note that parking is limited to what’s available on the streets around the venue; do not park in the El Centro de la Raza parking lot, it’s restricted to two hours all day every day.
When to be there
Everything kicks off at 1 PM Friday! Saturday and Sunday, doors open at 8:30 AM. See the full schedule.
What about the weather?
The weather’s currently predicted to have a high in the upper 70s F / 20s C on Friday, slightly cooler on Saturday and Sunday, and at least partly cloudy. It’s also possible that the warmer and sunnier weather we’re currently having will extend into at least some of the weekend.
Health safety policies
At check-in, we’ll require you to show us either proof of vaccination within the past year (since July 18, 2024) or a digital photo of a negative PCR or antigen test taken within the past 72 hours. (Please do not bring the test itself!)
• We do recommend taking two tests if possible, one test two days prior and the second right before coming.
• We will have some rapid tests available at registration.
We will also be requiring N/KN-95 or equivalent masks to be worn indoors throughout the event.
• We will have masks available at registration if you need any.
For more information, see our COVID-19 Policy.
Conduct policies
We expect everyone to abide by our Code of Conduct and our other Policies, including our Photography Policy.
• For photos, ask people first before taking one, and respect people’s choice to opt out.
• But also, be aware that by attending, you may incidentally appear in the background of other people’s photos.
Games
We’ll have an area by registration with menus for the advance scheduled games. You can sign up there for any games that still have space available, and you can also post a game there if you don’t want to pitch it in the Donut.
We’ll be holding our pitch circle, the Donut, at the start of every game session. This is a great way to meet new people and try out games you might not know!
We’ll also have a game library table where you can borrow a game for a session. These are generously loaned by members of our community; please take care of them and remember to put them back!
There will be a separate giveaway table where you can leave games for others to take off your hands, permanently. Note that you are responsible for anything left there—if no one takes it, you’ll need to bring it home with you!
Finally, consider bringing a zine for the take-a-zine-leave-a-zine trading post at the Zine Zone. Also if you have any zines about zines you would like to loan them for the zines about zines lending library, that is much appreciated, but they can't guarantee you will get them back (although they'll try real hard) so caveat emptor!
We’re looking forward to seeing all of you this weekend!
